Baoding First Hospital, known as Taylor Memorial Hospital was established by an American church in 1902. It became state-owned in 1952 and was named Hebei Sixth People's Hospital, Hebei Second People's Hospital and renamed to Baoding First Hospital in 1954.

In the past, The hospital has gone through more than one hundred years and formed a profound historical precipitation and cultural connotation. It has been one of the best national hospitals which was as famous as Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
